Northland Enterprises. LLC, is a Portland, Maine based limited liability company formed in 2001 by Rex S. Bell and Robert C. S. Monks for the purpose of acquiring multifamily properties. The principals have over 39 years of experience in the real estate industry.  They have background in construction, property management, brokerage, investment, consulting and development.  Mr. Monks is also a venture capitalist known for his ability to attract debt and equity for real estate and other business ventures.

Through various ownership entities, the partners have owned over 2,600 residential units in their real estate careers. Northland's broad real estate expertise, financial capacity and close lender relationships allow the company to assess deals quickly and submit offers which are not encumbered with excessive contingencies.  Northland acquires both market rate and subsidized B and C class multifamily properties with 100 units or more.  Projects located in stable neighborhoods which are in need of renovation or repositioning are of particular interest.
